The Clywed project began in 2001 – It is a way of assessing how good agencies are at listening to the voices of children and young people, whilst planning and delivering their services. Clywed is a group of young people who go around different places to see if children and young people are welcomed and respected. They will look at how happy children and young people are with the service they receive, and how much they are listened to. If the people at that place listen to and welcome children and young people, they will receive the 'Clywed' certificate for a year. The Clywed project visits each agency once every three years to undertake a review. The agency which has the Clywed logo fills in an annual self-assessment form. GISDA has retained the Clywed logo since 2001.
