One way in which you may like to support us is by leaving a legacy to GISDA in your will.
You may wish to leave a sum of money, or a gift for instance, in your will, which is completely free during your lifetime and will not attract Inheritance Tax.
Changes to inheritance tax legislation effective from the 2012/13 tax year: From April 2012, if you leave 10% or more of your estate on death to charity, then the rate of inheritance tax on the part of your estate that is chargeable will be reduced from 40% to 36%.
If you would like to leave something for GISDA in your will you simply need to:
For a new will – write a will and provide details of your donation
For an existing will – make an amendment to it
Set up a Trust
You may wish to get advice from a Solicitor who will be able to tell you more.
If you are interested in making a donation to GISDA, please contact us by e-mail or telephone to let us know.
Your support is invaluable to us and helps us to really make a difference – thank-you.
