A fantastic morning at Celtic Royal celebrating the success of pupils from schools in Gwynedd and Anglesey!

We are extremely proud of our partnership with the education departments of Gwynedd and Anglesey to support young people at risk of disengaging from school. Collaboration like this is key to ensuring that every individual receives the best opportunities to develop life skills, build confidence, and create a positive future for themselves.

A huge thank you to the Shared Prosperity Fund for the crucial funding that made this project possible! This support enables us to provide valuable learning opportunities for young people and equip them with essential skills for the future.

The project has supported pupils across seven different schools to complete over 150 Agored Cymru accreditations, earning a full Independent Living Skills qualification. Through completing the programme, individuals learned and developed essential skills such as cooking, budgeting, following instructions, numeracy, teamwork, creativity, coping with mental health challenges, and much more. This experience was not only an opportunity to gain a qualification but also helped each individual build confidence and self-worth.

Thank you to Cyng. Dewi Jones Cabinet Member for Education for presenting the certificates to the pupils, and to the education departments of Gwynedd and Anglesey – especially the Additional Learning Needs and Inclusion Department – for choosing GISDA to collaborate and deliver this programme.

It was a privilege to see each individual receive their certificates and have the opportunity to celebrate their achievements!
